Mr. & Mrs. Alpert

Drawn from Lost, season 6, episode 9. Richard Alpert's exciting backstory is revealed! Unfortunately, this didn't particularly excite me, nor did it let me know anything that I didn't really know already. I think this came out wellish though. Still not particularly liking Alpert's head, but the clothing, and the other one's face both came out exceptionally well. Yay me!

We're Surely F***ed

This is taken from Part 2 of "The Pacific," HBO's new WWII miniseries. Its Band of Brothers on boats! Actually, its pretty OK, like this drawing I just posted. I tried and tried and tried to make that man's rifle look like a rifle, but it still does not look remotely rifle-like. On the other hand, the cigarette smoke came out awesome, and I am quite pleased about that. More updates tomorrow, with a drawing from LOST, and maybe something fairly retro.

Dear World, I am a Ninja.

I just picked the lock to my front door using my scarf and a stick that I found on the sidewalk. I used the stick to extend a loop of scarf through the letter opening of the door, and then hooked said loop around the opening mechanism of the deadbolt. I then used the scarf like a pulley to turn the opening mechanism, thus opening the door. Granted, I'm an idiot for locking my keys inside the house. On the other hand, I'M A NINJA. An awesome ninja.

Pranksmen... stand down!

Frank Rossitano from 30 Rock, season 4, episode 16. Before anyone gets started, let me post my own critique. First of all, I've learned that it is very difficult to reproduce the texture of stubble using a standard wax crayon. Also, Frank's lips need more contrast - again, because of the surrounding stubble. They need to be lighter (maybe?). Lastly, Frank's hat is supposed to be sitting slightly askew on his head, but because of they way I drew it, it looks like his entire head is slightly deformed. Poor Frank. After all is said and done, however, I think I've captured his expression pretty well. The word, I believe, is flabbergasted. (I love that word. Yay.) Not bad for a first effort. Tune in Monday for my next drawing!

This is a blog featuring scenes from popular TV shows, rendered in Crayon!

The title of this post pretty much sums up the raison-detre of this entire blog. It combines some of my favorite things - television, drawings, and crayons! My goal in this endeavor is to continuously refine my drawing skills while providing myself with a creative outlet. This is very important to me - I am going to graduate from college in a matter of months, and I think that without some hobby to distract myself from an impending professional career, I shall go stark raving mad. First artwork follows immediately.
